Severn Trent is seeking an Instrumentation and Electrical Control Technician to ensure efficiency across the business. You will support Water Services Contracts and central functions, assist electricians with fault finding, and commission small-scale installations.
The role involves maintaining instrumentation and telemetry systems while working from home territory with a company van, fuel card, and development opportunities.
You will play a key role ensuring efficiency across the business through Instrumentation, and electrical control. We're looking for someone to provide technical support to Water Services Contracts and central functions to ensure compliance against company standards. Whilst also supporting the electricians in fault finding advanced systems and commissioning small scale instals. Our Electrical/instrumentation Technician will also be responsible for supporting the maintenance and installation of instrumentation and telemetry systems, while working to achieve the best solutions to suit the needs of the business. You will be covering the southern half of the mod patch, between the hours of 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday. In exchange we'll provide a company van & fuel card to allow you to start work from home whilst also investing in your personal development, including Compex training, that once passed qualifies you for an additional monthly allowance.
As a minimum we're looking for you to have experience in Instrumentation, SCADA and PLC software/hardware. Whilst ideally you will also hold a recognised qualification level 3 or above in an Engineering discipline (Electrical/Control systems) or equivalent experience. Having your 18th Edition and Compex is desirable. A full UK driving licence will be required for the role. Of course, it's important that we attract the right skill sets, and those with the right experience but we value character, positivity and a caring attitude in equal weight.
