Responsibilities

• Installs, inspects, tests, operates, and repairs electrical switchgear systems, branch circuits, power distribution wiring, electrical equipment, fixtures, and conduit.
• Troubleshoots lighting control systems and related components.
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical devices, motor starters, relays, contractors, etc.
• Uses electrical testing equipment to troubleshoot, test, and trace circuitry.
• Advises supervisor on job progress and material/labor requirements.
• Reads and designs drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Completes preventative maintenance and keeps records.
• Responds to emergency repair/maintenance and keeps records.
• Maintains inventory and accounts for tools used.

This role will be responsible for keeping all equipment operating through preventive and as-needed maintenance and documenting all repairs. The successful candidate will be a motivated individual who has strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.

• Ensure all safety and precautionary measures are met by adhering to company policy and state and federal regulations.
• Installs, inspects, tests, operates, and repairs of all electrical switchgear systems, branch circuits, power distribution wiring, electrical equipment, fixtures, and conduit.
• Must be able to troubleshoot lighting control systems and related components.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electrical devices, motor starters, relays, contractors, etc.
• Must be able to use a variety of electrical testing equipment to troubleshoot, test, and trace circuitry.
• Advises the supervisor on job progress and material/ labor requirements.
• Works with departments to plan and complete tasking.
• The ability to read, design drawings, and wiring diagrams required.
• Completes preventative maintenance as scheduled and keep records.
• Responds to any emergency repair/maintenance as scheduled and keep records.
• Maintains critical inventory needed to keep operations running
• Maintains accounts for tools used.
• All other duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in industrial Electronics or similar field. (preferred)
• Minimum two years of electrical experience in an industrial environment.
• Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to read and understand instructions in English.
• Ability to perform work without supervision.
• Necessary math skills - Addition, subtraction, and multiplication to record accurate reports.
• Essential reading and writing skills.
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Climbing stairs and working from secured platforms.
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions.
• Requires occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
