Job summary

Vylor is seeking an Electrician for our St. Joseph, Illinois production facility to support electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and control systems ensuring peak uptime. This on-site role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified external candidates.

Responsibilities include repairs, inspections, safety program adherence, and collaboration with teams to improve safety and efficiency. Journeyman electrical experience, NEC knowledge, and a valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Journeyman electrician with proven field experience.
• Ability to interpret the NEC and apply electrical codes.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to drive company vehicle.
• Computer proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new apps.
• Willingness to work in varied physical conditions; climb, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to document equipment records.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Perform electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and scheduled inspections.
• Assist program leaders with the electrical safety program and compliance.
• Follow OSHA, PSM, and company safety procedures daily.
• Recommend safety and process improvements, including new devices or hardware.
• Support the team with other duties as assigned.

Vylor has an exciting opportunity foran Electrician to join our team at our St. Joseph, Illinois production facility.

What You Will Do:

• Ensure operation of company equipment including electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, control devices, for process and facility
• Perform electrical repairs, service, troubleshooting and scheduled inspections of equipment, following the prescribed guidelines and procedures
• Review and assist program leaders and teams with the electrical safety program to ensure adherence and compliance
• Adhere to all quality systems & safety procedures including environmental regulations, OSHA, PSM, and Corteva’s safety procedures in everyday work routine
• Make recommendations for improved safety through electrical programs and/or process changes including the addition of new devices, and hardware
• Various other duties as assigned

What Skills You Need:

• Journeyman Electrical experience
• You possess working knowledge and are willing and able to interpret the National Electric Code (NEC)
• You have a valid driver’s license and are willing and able to drive a company vehicle as needed
• You are comfortable with technology and possess good a computer aptitude including the use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company specific applications as required
• You are willing and able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation: Climb and/or work in elevated areas, Stand, and sit for extended periods, Work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions, lift up to 50 lbs. and perform work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting
• You can work independently as well as in a team environment
• You have good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• You have high attention to detail can multitask, maintain an organized workplace, and have excellent problem-solving skills
• You are willing and able to maintain detailed equipment records and prints as required

What Makes You Stand Out:

• Master Licensed Electrician
• Experience with a work order and part inventory system
• Knowledge and/or experience with Automation and Programmable Logic Controls (PLC)
• Previous industrial maintenance work production equipment - electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, Motors and Gearmotors, instrumentation and controls, HVAC, and general maintenance experience).
• Experience with an SAP (or similar system) for work orders and parts inventory

The salary range for this position is $74,457.00 to $82,730.00.

This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
