Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Six or more years of electrical and facilities experience.
  • Industrial electrical experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Proficient with electrical testing equipment and hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain motors, transformers, generators, lighting, appliances, wiring, circuits, and other electrical equipment.
  • Read plans, drawings, specifications, blueprints to determine work requirements.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems to locate faults and malfunctions.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Support facility improvement and repair projects.
  • Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with overtime as needed.

What You Do
  • Install, repair, and maintain motors, transformers, generators, lighting, appliances, wiring, circuits, and other electrical equipment and components.
  • Complete electrical work in compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
  • Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks while ensuring component compatibility.
  • Operate electrical testing equipment to locate and identify electrical malfunctions.
  • Read and interpret plans, drawings, specifications, blueprints, and work orders to determine work requirements and the proper sequence of repairs or installations.
  • Execute electrical wiring plans that support the safe and reliable operation of lighting and other electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems to identify hazards, damaged components, and equipment malfunctions.
  • Repair or replace damaged electrical components and equipment as needed.
  • Support facility improvement and repair projects.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with overtime as needed.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • College coursework or trade school training preferred.
  • Relevant professional certification or specialized electrical training required.
  • Six or more years of electrical and facilities experience required.
  • Industrial electrical experience required.
  • Proven experience working as an electrician.
  • Experience with industrial and commercial electrical systems.
  • Ability to use electrical and hand tools, including wire strippers, voltmeters, and related testing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical safety procedures, legal regulations, and applicable guidelines.
  • Excellent critical‑thinking, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, and use tools throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in environments that may include moderate to high noise levels, dust, temperature extremes, and changing priorities.
  • Close and distance vision and clear hearing, with or without correction.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
