Job summary

NYCOA in Manchester, NH seeks a motivated Licensed Electrician to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot up to 480 volts, repair and upgrade plant lighting, and calibrate sensors. Reading electrical drawings and following NEC standards are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• NH electrical license or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of industrial environment experience preferred.
• Able to lift 55 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Read/interpret electrical drawings and diagrams.
• PLC experience preferred.
• Must wear LO/TO procedures and PPE at all times.
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• Team-oriented and work well with others.

Job description

NYCOA seeks a highly motivated Licensed Electrician to join their team in Manchester, New Hampshire. Successful candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment and possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Inspecting/troubleshooting/repairing electrical equipment including working with voltages up to 480 volts.
• Repairing and upgrading plant lighting.
• Calibrating plant instruments, detectors, and sensors.
• Following the NEC for all tasks and repairs.
• Maintaining electrical inventory.
• Assisting mechanics as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• NH electrical license or equivalent required.
• 5 or more years of industrial environment experience is strongly preferred.
• Able to work an extremely physical job. Specific requirements include ability to lift/carry 55 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods, climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, standing, fine motor skills, and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to read/interpret electrical drawings and diagrams.
• PLC experience preferred.
• Qualified to wear a respirator without restriction.
• Possess computer skills, including Microsoft Word/Excel, and email.
• Must use proper LO/TO procedures and wearing PPE at all times.
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• Able to work with minimum supervision, work well with others, and be team player.

Compensation/Benefits

$39.50 per hour. NYCOA offers an excellent compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays. Monday – Friday 7AM-3:30PM schedule with additional opportunity for overtime.
