Job summary

Getty in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced electrician to maintain, troubleshoot, replace and install electrical circuits, equipment and lighting for facilities and events.

The role requires 5+ years as a Journeyman electrician and a California driver’s license with clean DMV record. An electrician’s license is preferred to join a team ensuring safety and code compliance in all projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Journeyman electrician is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, inspects, tests, and maintains electrical systems and equipment at Getty facilities.
• Replaces ballasts and light bulbs at Getty facilities.
• Sets up and removes power and lighting for events.
• Ensures motors, transformers and lighting fixtures are installed according to specifications.
• Inspects completed work to ensure compliance with local building and safety codes.

Overview

Maintains, troubleshoots, replaces and may install electrical circuits, equipment and appliances. Inspects and tests electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication and power circuits. Responsible for changing lighting ballasts and all exterior lighting including fiber optic lights in pools. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Inspects completed work for conformance with requirements of local building codes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, inspects, tests, and maintains electrical systems and equipment, including but not limited to emergency generators, automated transfer switches, variable frequency drives, automated lighting controls, lighting dimmers, gallery louver controls, motor controls and electrical starters
• Replaces ballasts and light bulbs at Getty facilities
• Sets up and removes power and lighting for events
• Ensures that motors, transformers and lighting fixtures have been installed according to specifications
• Estimates time and material costs on electrical projects
• Inspects completed work to ensure compliance with local building and safety codes
