Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking Electricians to join our second shift team. The Electrician is responsible for performing a variety of electrical tasks safely, including installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, testing, repairing and installation in large commercial projects.

Overnight Shift on a 2-2-3 rotation from 6:00PM - 6:00AM CST, with pay $26.00 - $30.00 per hour (USD). A HS Diploma/GED and 3–5 years of related experience are required, along with safety awareness and ability to read diagrams

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED required.
  • 3–5 years of commercial/industrial electrical maintenance.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance procedures and safety.
  • Ability to read diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical systems, circuits and equipment.
  • Diagnoses malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools to locate and fix problems.
  • Connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Inspects systems and components to identify hazards and ensure code compliance.
  • Reads, interprets, and works from diagrams and schematics.
  • Must be safety conscious and work within a team environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation

$26.00 - $30.00 per hour pay rate (U.S. Dollar)

Responsibilities
  • Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical systems, circuits and equipment.
  • Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Advises management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
  • Reads, interprets, and works from diagrams, blueprints, sketches, repair manuals, and schematics.
  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of National Electrical Codes.
  • Possesses knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in electrical trade.
  • Must be safety conscious and work safely within a team-oriented environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Willingness to Work at Various Heights: The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in elevated environments. This includes tasks that may require being at different heights for extended periods.
  • Ladder Climbing: Regular climbing of ladders is a critical part of this position. The candidate must be capable of safely ascending and descending ladders of various sizes and types.
  • Utilizing Various Lifts: Proficiency in operating a range of lifts is essential. This involves maneuvering scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other mechanical devices to reach higher areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 3-5 years commercial or industrial electrical maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of a variety of building maintenance procedures and techniques.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Skill in using hand and power tools.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
