Job summary

Worley is seeking an electrician with at least four years of industrial construction experience for a hands-on role in our Texas operations. You will read blueprints and specifications to determine scope, measure and install electrical conduit, and assemble control and distribution panels using hand and power tools.

You will test circuits for safety, observe equipment for hazards, and perform disassembly and repair of electrical systems as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years in industrial construction/maintenance.
  • NCEER Certified (written or performance verified).
  • Ability to fabricate and install rigid & aluminum EMT, plastic-bond, and PVC conduit.
  • Proficient with mechanical and hydraulic benders.
  • Wiring and cable installation by hand, machine, and in cable trays.

Responsibilities

  • Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit using tools such as a hacksaw, pipe threader, rules and conduit benders.
  • Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays and circuit-breaker panels, and fastens in place with crews or bolts using hand or power tools.
  • Test continuity of circuit to ensure electrical safety and compatibility of components using testing instruments.
  • Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
  • Disassembles and repairs defective electrical equipment or systems.
