Job summary

Worley in Baytown seeks an experienced electrical trades professional to read blueprints and determine material scope, install conduit, and verify electrical safety. The role requires fabricating and mounting rigid, EMT, and PVC conduits, using benders, and installing switches, relays, and panels.

You will test circuits and inspect equipment for hazard mitigation, with opportunity to advance in a diverse, project-driven team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance experience.
  • NCEER certified (written or performance verified) preferred.
  • Ability to fabricate and install rigid & aluminum, EMT, plastic-bond, and PVC conduit.
  • Ability to use mechanical and hydraulic benders (2"–4").
  • Wire and cable installation by hand, by machine, and in cable trays.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope of work, location, quantities and sizes of materials.
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using hand and power tools.
  • Install control and distribution apparatus (switches, relays, circuit-breaker panels) and secure with crews or bolts.
  • Test circuit continuity with ohmmeter, signaling tools and oscilloscope to ensure safety.
  • Inspect functioning of installed equipment to identify hazards and needed adjustments or replacements.
  • Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems.
