This role requires technical expertise in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential environments — including both new builds and lived-in homes. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of NEC codes, prioritizes safety, and excels in customer service. As the face of our service division, this technician will represent KEP Electric with professionalism and a commitment to excellence.
Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls in residential homes (occupied and unoccupied).
Diagnose and repair electrical issues related to panels, circuits, breakers, lighting, outlets, GFCIs, switches, and more.
Conduct home warranty repairs and ensure homeowner satisfaction through quality service and clear communication.
Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor while working in lived-in homes.
Accurately complete service tickets and document repairs performed, parts used, and next steps if required.
Ensure work is completed in accordance withNational Electrical Code (NEC)andOSHA safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and functionality of company vehicles, tools, and PPE.
Communicate effectively with service coordinators, homeowners, and field leadership.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve system performance or customer satisfaction.
Minimum of 2 years’ experienceas a Residential Service Electrician.
Demonstrated skill inelectrical troubleshootingand diagnostics in residential settings.
Strong knowledge ofNEC codesand compliance requirements.
Recognized forhigh-quality workmanship, professionalism, and safety.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
ValidDriver’s Licenseand clean driving record.
Must pass abackground checkanddrug screening.
Willingness to work independently and travel to various residential job sites.
Journeyman Electrician License (as required by state or local jurisdiction).
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, or in confined spaces.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
