Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Indianapolis seeks a skilled Electrician to support a leading pharmaceutical client. This Monday–Friday role includes an on-call rotation to ensure continuous operations.

You will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment across regulated facilities, focusing on safety, reliability, and operational continuity. The position requires precise work and adherence to GMP/GLP and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required with 3-4 years of related experience; apprenticeship preferred.
  • Valid Driver's license required.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Familiarity with GMP/GLP and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee electrical and lighting systems' operation, repair, and maintenance; install new equipment.
  • Check, repair, and replace components of electrical systems (valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes).
  • Wire and connect fan motors; set up and program VFDs for motor control; install raceways via conduit bending and wire pulling.
  • Perform electrical installations including VFD setup and troubleshooting; conduit fabrication and wire pulls per codes.
  • Operate test equipment (multimeters, amp probes, analyzers) and document results.
  • Maintain and repair controls on HVAC and process equipment; ensure reliability and safety.
  • Complete GMP/GLP training; document maintenance activities; manage ITP for compliance.

Are you a skilled Electrician ready to ensure seamless operations for a leading pharmaceutical client? We're seeking a dedicated professional for a Monday-Friday role, including an on-call rotation.

You’ll be crucial in maintaining the infrastructure that drives critical scientific and production operations. Your responsibilities will include meticulous inspection, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment across our highly regulated facilities. Focusing on system reliability, safety, and operational continuity, your expertise will directly contribute to keeping our essential work running smoothly. What You’ll Do
  • Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.
  • Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical systems. This includes valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
  • Wire and connect fan motors, set up and program VFDs for motor control, and install electrical raceways through conduit bending and wire pulling operations.
  • Execute electrical installations including fan motor wiring, VFD setup and troubleshooting, and conduit fabrication and wire pulls in accordance with electrical codes and project specifications.
  • Operate electrical test equipment—including volt/ohm meters, amp probes, power analyzers, and insulation testers—while following established testing procedures and accurately documenting all results.
  • Maintain and repair electrical and electronic controls on complex systems, including HVAC equipment, variable speed controllers, lighting systems, and process equipment.
  • Complete all regulatory training prior to conducting work. Perform all work activities utilizing the appropriate procedures to include GMP/GLP, organizations, department or local requirements. Perform all work utilizing the appropriate environmental regulations and policies. Complete appropriate documentation associated with maintenance activities. Manage individual ITP to ensure compliance.
What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Valid Driver's license required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages discounts and commissions.
