Job summary

BENTELER Automotive is seeking a qualified Industrial Electrician for our Michigan facility. The role focuses on electrical systems in a manufacturing setting, troubleshooting robotics and control panels, and wiring/diagnostic work across production lines to ensure minimal downtime.

Qualified candidates will have a Michigan Journeyman License or be able to obtain one, along with PLC programming experience and a strong background in industrial controls, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

Qualifications

• State or able to obtain a Michigan Journeyman License.
• Ability to work any shift and overtime including daily, weekend and holidays
• Experience reading blueprints, drawings, layouts or other specifications
• Electrical experience supporting manufacturing operations to locate and diagnose trouble in electrical systems or equipment
• Experience in replacing broken or defective parts in equipment or machines, electrical equipment and tooling
• Experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Experience with industrial controls, conveyance systems, motor control centers, power distribution panels, electrical starters, variable frequency drives (VFDs)
• Strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge and troubleshooting experience with pneumatics and hydraulics

Qualified individuals will possess knowledge and work experience in the following areas, which represent some of the critical aspects of the Industrial Electrician job:

• Reading and comprehending hardwire and ladder logic prints
• Troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment
• Troubleshooting robotic systems and equipment (e.g., Fanuc, Comau, ABB, Motoman)
• Programmable logic controllers (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
• Servo controls and devices
• Uses NEC and MIOSHA standards

Basic Qualifications:

• Hold, or able to get, a State of Michigan Journeyman License.
