Job summary

Martin Marietta seeks an Electrician to join our Maintenance team at our surface mining facilities. The role focuses on maintaining, calibrating, and improving process control instrumentation to optimize mine efficiency and safety.

You will coordinate repairs, troubleshoot motor controls, and explore automation upgrades to boost plant capacity and reporting. A 2-year electrical degree or equivalent experience is required; Journeyman license is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree in Electrical or comparable experience.
• Certified/licensed Electrician preferred.
• Journeyman’s card preferred but not required.
• Experience with PLCs is a plus.
• Mining or aggregate industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all in-house electrical repairs and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC motor controls and drives.
• Research upgrades in automation and fine-tune plant safety and efficiency.
• Work with engineering to meet deadlines on capital projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The primary function of the Electrician is to maintain, calibrate, perform trouble analysis, consult, research and develop process control instrumentation for the purpose of obtaining optimum efficiency of our mining operations.
