Job Overview

American Crystal Sugar Company is hiring Electricians to perform factory, agricultural, and operations maintenance activities. The role includes generating repair, installation, and troubleshooting of equipment, and use of a computerized maintenance system.

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist in all maintenance activities for factory, agricultural, and operations equipment.
• Repair, replace and install new generators online.
• Use the Company’s computerized maintenance management system (SAP) to record and access maintenance information.
• Program, troubleshoot, and operate programmable controllers, distributed control systems, and interlocking systems.
• Work with non‑licensed personnel to train and enable them to work the required time to test for an electrical license (Electrician 1st).
• Set an effective pace and minimize interruptions in the process and agricultural operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED certificate.
• Journeyman’s Class A license required; Master preferred.
• Must be current with technical knowledge and licensing requirements.
• Must be able to work with up to 12,470volt 3‑phase equipment and switch gears as well as lower voltages in both single and 3‑phase.
• Must possess or obtain forklift certification.
• Must submit to and successfully pass a safety screen.

Compensation

Pay ranges from $36.13 to $42.42 per hour plus $4.00 extra per hour while on rotating 12‑hour shift.

Up to $45.00 on rotating 12‑hour shift. The hourly rate for Entry Level is $36.13, 1st class level is $42.42.

Position is entry level with only 14 shifts per month.
