Job summary

Ho-Chunk, Inc. is seeking a skilled electrician to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment at a government facility.

Responsibilities include servicing interior/exterior wiring, high/low voltage systems, and related components throughout assigned facilities. Candidates should have at least five years of experience with commercial facilities, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work with CMMS data entry.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.
  • Five years of experience with commercial facilities.
  • Electrician license preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a federal, state, or local background investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Performs repair, overhaul, maintenance, and servicing of commercial and industrial electrical/electronic systems, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
  • Testing, installation, repair, and maintenance of generators, ATS, UPS, transformers, switchboards, controllers, door operators, circuit breakers, motors, conduit systems, and related equipment.
  • Performs fire alarm system and/or call systems testing and maintenance.
  • Maintains cleanliness of assigned spaces and workshops; assists maintenance teams.
  • Identifies and resolves failures/alarms related to critical building equipment.

Summary

General Summary


Primary duties focus on performing installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment at a government facility.Performs maintenance, repair and modification of interior and exterior electrical wiring, exterior high voltage/low voltage electrical circuits/systems, and equipment associated with electrical components throughout the facilities assigned.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Performs repair, overhaul, maintenance, and servicing of commercial and industrial electrical/electronic systems,locatingand diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment

  • Testing, installation, repair, and maintenance of a variety of electrical equipment, such as generators, ATS, UPS, transformers, switchboards, controllers, door operators, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, IRscansor other transmission equipment

  • Performs fire alarm system and/or call systems testing and maintenance

  • Maintains the general cleanliness and appearance of assigned spaces and the workshop

  • Assistmaintenance teams

  • Solelyidentifyand resolve failures/alarms related to critical building equipment.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:


  • Must have the skill and knowledge to use all hand and power tools, test equipment and shop machines, aerial booms, and shop machinesutilizedby the craft

  • Knowledgeable and skilled inmaintainingand repairing exterior and interior electrical wiring and components

  • Allappropriate safetypractices for working with hand and power tools.

  • Read andcomprehendschematics, blueprints, and shop drawings

  • Communicate verbally and in writing

  • Ability to troubleshoot systems using electronics, computers, and software systems

  • Use of computers for checking email, data entry on CMMS, and training

Education and Experience:


  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalency

  • Five(5) yearsofexperienceshallbeassociatedwithcommercial facilities

  • Electrician License preferred

Physical Requirements:


  • Possible exposureto hazardous materials, requiring use of respirators and personal protective safety attire and equipment

  • Lifting and carrying varies dependent on location of equipment up to 30-40ft height

  • Ability to push 50 pounds (maintenance equipment); ability to lift minimum of 50 pounds (supplies and equipment)

  • Possible exposureto hazardous materials, requiring use of respirators and personal protective safety attire and equipment

  • May require entering confined spaces such as ductwork, pits, and crawl spaces

  • Attendanceis required tobe successful in this position

Special Qualifications/Requirements:


  • Must be able to successfully pass asrequireda federal, state, or local government's background investigation
