Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Three years of experience as a fully qualified Electrician or military construction electrician background.
  • Experience with multi-phase low/high voltage systems.
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and perform electrical equipment maintenance, installations, and modifications according to codes.
  • Coordinate and perform testing of electrical systems as required by codes.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze electrical problems.
  • Assist contractors with locating and avoiding hidden electrical circuits.
  • Perform and develop preventative maintenance measures for electrical equipment to ensure readiness and performance.
  • Work across multiple Cleveland Clinic locations as needed.

A caregiver in this position works2:30pm to 11:30pm, with rotating weekends and holidays.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Coordinate and perform electrical equipment maintenance,installationsand modifications according to applicable codes and regulations.
  • Coordinate and perform testing of electrical systems as required by codes.
  • Troubleshoot andanalyzeelectrical problems.
  • Assistcontractors withlocatingand avoiding hidden electrical circuits.
  • Perform and develop preventative maintenance measures for electrical equipment in compliance with applicable codes and standards to ensure operational readiness and performance.
  • Work across multiple Cleveland Clinic locations as needed.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Three years of experience as a fully qualified Electrician OR military experience a Construction Electrician (CE), Engineman (EN), Interior Electrician (12R), Electrical Systems (3E0X1)or similar role
  • Experience with multi-phase systems of low and high voltage
  • Ability to read andcomprehendblueprints
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Certificate from an approved Electrical Apprenticeship Program or Trade School

Physical Requirements:

  • Typical physical demands require full body motion, including ability to perform work while bending, stooping, stretching and climbing ladders.
  • Requires dexterity and strength sufficient to operate required tools and machinery.
  • Typically required to lift and carry machinery and/or equipment weighing 25 to 100 poundsand/or assist with lifting weights exceeding 100 pounds.
  • Requires color acuity sufficient to distinguish color-coded signage and systems.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
