Job summary

Heart of Ohio Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical is seeking a skilled Commercial Electrician to join our Brunswick team. You will install and maintain electrical systems for commercial spaces, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.

You bring 3+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience, strong NEC knowledge, and proficiency with diagnostic tools. This full-time role is based in Northeastern Ohio, with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical work.
• Strong knowledge of NEC standards and local electrical codes.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair electrical systems in commercial spaces.
• Perform raceway installations with EMT, PVC, GRC, MC, and NM wiring.
• Execute grounding installations for code-compliant safety.
• Read blueprints and schematics to deliver precise work.
• Troubleshoot high- and low-voltage issues with meters and testers.
• Collaborate with project managers and trades on site, following NEC and OSHA safety protocols.

What You’ll Do

As a Electrician, you’ll be the spark behind our projects, installing and maintaining electrical systems that keep commercial spaces running smoothly. Your key responsibilities include:

• Install and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting fixtures (interior/exterior), receptacles, switches, and equipment disconnects, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Perform raceway installations, working with EMT, PVC, GRC conduit, MC cable, and NM "Romex" cabling to meet project specs.
• Execute grounding installations, ensuring proper wiring, rods, and fittings for code-compliant safety.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to deliver precise, high-quality work.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in high- and low-voltage systems using tools like multimeters and circuit testers.
• Collaborate with project managers and other trades on construction sites, adhering to NEC standards and OSHA safety protocols.

Requirements

Who You Are

You’re a detail-oriented, hands-on professional with a passion for electrical work and a commitment to excellence. You bring:

• 3+ years of experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical work, with expertise in high and low-voltage systems.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, including conduit benders, wire pullers, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong knowledge of NEC standards and local electrical codes, ensuring compliant and safe installations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
• Construction site experience, including familiarity with frame carpentry and site safety protocols.
• A valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record (must remain insurable under company vehicle insurance).
• A drive to deliver top-tier service and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
