Job summary

Mr. Electric of Austin and Round Rock is seeking a licensed Journeyman Electrician or Residential Wireman for residential and light commercial service work in the Austin/Round Rock area.

You will operate a stocked service van, troubleshoot and repair wiring, and install lighting and control systems in homes. We offer a professional, respectful culture with opportunities for growth, company vehicle dispatched from home, and access to advanced software tools to keep you organized and efficient.

Qualifications

• Texas Electrical License required (Residential Wireman or Journeyman’s License).
• 3–5 years of residential electrical experience with troubleshooting focus.
• Clean, professional appearance and strong safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair residential wiring, control systems, and lighting from a provided service van.
• Diagnose electrical issues using testing devices and inspect electrical panels for faults.
• Communicate clearly with homeowners and offer options and solutions.
• Keep the service van clean, organized, and stocked; perform quarterly inventories.
• Follow Mr. Electric’s proven system to deliver excellent results and improve performance.

What We’re Seeking

• Licensing:Valid Texas Electrical License (Residential WiremanorJourneyman’s License).
• Experience:3–5 years of residential electrical experience, with a strong focus on troubleshooting and service (light commercial experience is a plus!).
• Quality Craftsmanship:Clean, top-tier work executed strictly toNEC codeon every single job.
• Professional Presence:A tidy, well-groomed appearance with a clean, neat uniform (tucked in!).
• Mindset:A positive, proactive attitude; able to work autonomously while following our best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Field Operations:Work independently out of your provided service van to install, maintain, and repair residential wiring, control systems, and lighting.
• Troubleshooting:Diagnose electrical issues using appropriate testing devices; inspect transformers and circuit breakers for faults.
• Customer Connection:Provide excellent, clear communication with homeowners, offering options and solutions so they can choose what’s best for their home.
• Van Management:Keep your assigned service van clean, organized, and properly stocked; conduct quarterly material inventories.
• Process & Execution:Consistently follow Mr. Electric’s proven system to deliver exceptional results and elevate your own performance.
