Electrical Automation Services is seeking a hands-on controls technician to install, configure and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs and related I/O on-site in Aurora, IL. You will work with 480V 3‑phase systems, servo motors, encoders and VFDs, performing programming updates in ladder logic and maintaining equipment across packaging lines.

Overtime, 2nd/3rd shifts, and safety procedures are part of the role. Strong electrical schematics skills and knowledge of Profibus/industrial Ethernet are valued,

Qualifikationen

• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) required.
• Servo systems and electrical schematics proficiency preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot on 480V, 3-phase power and associated drives.

Aufgaben

• Install, configure and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O, and control wiring.
• Troubleshoot analog/digital controls with 480V 3-phase power, motors, VFDs, servo drives and soft starts.
• Maintain and troubleshoot encoders and load cells; program PLC and HMI interfaces.
• Modify PLC logic (ladder) and troubleshoot graphic HMIs; diagnose comms protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet).
• Diagnose equipment issues via electrical schematics; perform preventive maintenance on Laser Guided Vehicles and conveyors.
• Follow safety procedures (lockout/tagout, PPE) and support packaging equipment maintenance in manufacturing setting.

Location: This position is on-site in Aurora, IL. Please apply only if you live within 37 miles of Aurora.Ability to work 3rd shift, Overtime (1.5) after 40 hours and double time after 48 hours. 10 paid holidays, PTO upon start, regular and irregular raises based on performance.Duties:Perform installation, configuration and troubleshooting of photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC input/output modules, and all associated control wiring.Provide troubleshooting expertise of analog and digital controls with 480V, 3 phase power distribution systems, motors, variable frequency drives, servo drives, and soft starts.Maintain and troubleshoot position feedback devices encoders, and load cells.Programming and troubleshooting of PLC and HMI interfaces.Perform configuration and logic modifications to PLC control systems.
