Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Electrician in Akron, OH. The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems within a construction environment. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of electrical codes, the ability to interpret technical diagrams, and the skill to work effectively both independently and as part of a project team.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20 to $35 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

• Install, bend, and remove conduit to accommodate wiring needs.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Pull electrical wiring through conduit and connect it to circuit breakers, transformers, and outlets.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including conduit, lighting fixtures, electrical panels, and switches.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions to ensure system safety and functionality.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and local regulations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Collaborate with other trades on-site to ensure project timelines are met.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in a construction or commercial setting.
• Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical schematics.
• Possession of necessary hand tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) required for the trade.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the Akron, OH area.
• Dependable and punctual with a strong commitment to site safety.

Physical Requirements:

• Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and poles safely.
• Physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions and construction environments.
• Ability to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, and walk for long periods of time.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $20 to $35 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
