Job summary

UL Solutions in Melville, NY is seeking an entry-level Engineer to support project investigations for client sites. You will determine scope, plan investigations, and define costs, timeframes, and sample requirements by analyzing inputs and product data.

You'll travel to client sites as needed, communicate with clients about technical issues and project timing, coordinate lab activities, and help prepare reports and follow-up service procedures, while learning UL requirements and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, open to fresh graduates.
• 0–2+ years of experience.
• Customer-facing experience is a plus; training will be provided.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Determine project scope, develop a plan of investigation, and define cost, time, and sample requirements by analyzing client input, data, and product construction.
• Travel to client sites to conduct or witness tests and explain UL services to clients.
• Communicate with clients about technical issues, project costs, and completion dates; address client concerns and resolve issues.
• Coordinate laboratory activities, prepare data sheets, and schedule technicians and engineers.
• Prepare reports and follow-up service procedures; contribute to UL requirements and test methods.
