FLANDERS Inc. Evansville Operations is hiring a Winder to rewind various electromechanical equipment and inspect winding condition. You will document data, prepare parts, and perform windings with testing to ensure compliance with standards.

The role requires basic mechanical knowledge, reading and writing skills, and a focus on safety. You will operate winding machines and related tools in a hands-on manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with basic mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to perform basic math including fractions.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple to moderately complex instructions.
• Ability to understand, perform, and retain safety procedures.
• Ability to exercise initiative, judgment and routine decision making.

Responsibilities

• Rewind various electromechanical equipment and inspect for winding issues.
• Dismantle damaged equipment and perform media blasting when needed.
• Inspect equipment for winding damage and electrical malfunctions.
• Document data on unit electromagnetic characteristics and conditions.
• Prepare reusable parts and inspect for hidden damage.
• Wind and test various windings and components.
• Test rewound equipment according to standards and record results.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and timely.
• Operate and maintain winding and testing equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety rules.
• Provide professional customer interactions as needed.
