FLANDERS Inc. Evansville is seeking a Winder to rewind various electromechanical components, remove windings, inspect for damage, and record data from the winding process.

You will operate winding machines, perform voltage tests, and ensure safety procedures are followed while updating required paperwork.

This role offers hands-on growth, on-the-job training, and opportunities to work with skilled technicians and respond to customer needs.

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

• Rewind various kinds of electromechanical equipment, including single-phase stators, three-phase stators, rotors, fields, and coils. Apply proper insulating techniques during rewinding.
• Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable electromechanical equipment, including media blasting.
• Inspect equipment for winding damage and electrical malfunctions.
• Document and record data related to electromagnetic characteristics and operating conditions.
• Prepare reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden damage.
• Wind various kinds of electromechanical equipment.
• Test rewound equipment according to standards and document results.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Operate winding machines, test panels, surge testers, Hipot, and related tools.
• Observe safety procedures and wear proper safety equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment at all times.
• Promote a professional company image and positive working relationships with customers and coworkers.

Our Evansville Operations team has an opening for a Winder!Our Winder role is a great opportunity for someone to learn and grow with us! The Winder will rewind various kinds of basic electromechanical equipment including removing the original winding, inspecting for winding failure damage, recording data from the original welding, making new coils and performing voltage testing on standard/basic windings.

Here's What You'll Do:

• Rewind various kinds of electromechanical equipment, including but not limited to single-phase stators, three-phase stators, three phase rotors, fields, and coils. Operate proper insulating techniques and/or requirements during rewinding.
• Dismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable electromechanical equipment, including media blasting.
• Inspect various kinds of electromechanical equipment for winding damage and evidence of electrical malfunctions.
• Document/record all relevant data specific to unit's electromagnetic characteristics, operating conditions, existing damage, or intended serviceability.
• Prepare all reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden, structural damage or unusual conditions.
• Wind various kinds electromechanical equipment.
• Test rewound electromechanical equipment according to EASA Standards and document test results.
• Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.
• Operate specified repair and testing equipment, including but not limited to winding machines, test panels, surge testers, Hipot, core-loss testers, cut-off saws, burnout ovens, bake ovens, grinders, cranes, forklift trucks, pallet trucks, brazing units, dip tanks, VPI systems, and various hand held power and non-power tools.
• Observe all safety procedures and use proper safety equipment including eye, ear, and hand protection.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment at all times.
• Operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times.
• Promote strong company image and maintain positive working relationships at all times including professional behavior with customers (very limited) and co-workers including coordinators (daily basis).
• Provide outstanding customer service at all times.
• Perform work according to established company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent along with basic mechanical knowledge
• Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division including understanding fractions
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple to moderately complex written and verbal instructions
• Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job related training, operational, and safety procedures
• Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and decision making related to routine duties within set company standards
