Job summary

Miller Electric Company in Richmond, VA is seeking a VDC Manager to lead the VDC process, mentor the VDC team, and coordinate with project leadership to meet milestones. This role emphasizes innovation, cross-functional collaboration, and maintaining VDC budgets and schedules.

The ideal candidate has extensive Revit/NAVISWORKS experience, a background in electrical construction, and a track record in coordinating complex VDC projects within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ Years experience with Revit software required
• 5+ Years experience as a Project Coordinator required
• Electrical construction experience required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Experience managing a VDC department is a plus
• Associate's degree in computer Drafting or Construction Management is a plus
• Field experience in the construction trade is a plus

Responsibilities

• Hold direct reports accountable for managing production
• Guide development of the VDC strategic plan through coordination with group management
• Facilitate cross pollination of the VDC facets
• Facilitate innovation within the department from the VDC perspective
• Emphasize and cultivate an innovation mentality department-wide
• Establish and maintain relationships with internal clients to facilitate VDC processes
• Identify and mitigate VDC risks based on experience
• Lead department heads to support the company's culture, mission and values
• Share knowledge and experience across the organization
• Support ideas for innovation and contribute to them
• Verify efficiency tools are used by all
• Gather and contribute to prospective project marketing documents
• Develop project VDC budget estimates
• Review and track VDC budget estimates
• Route opportunities to the appropriate coordinator
• Project schedule analysis and recreation
• Maintain a man-loaded schedule for current and future projects
• Cost Code breakdown creation

Compensation Range: $67.30/hr - $80/hr

The VDC Manager plays a vital role in assuring the VDC process is efficient and progressing. Mentor and guide the VDC team, providing direction and support rather than direct instruction, helping them to navigate departmental processes and successfully achieve project milestones. #miller # LI-JJ1
