Miller Electric, a leading electrical contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager for our Florida operations. You will oversee complex electrical projects, manage client relationships, and lead a team of field personnel, subcontractors, and internal staff.

The role emphasizes safety, scheduling, and cost control. You will report to the Director and work closely with the VP, ensuring high-quality project delivery and continuous improvement.

Competenze

• Electrical contracting project management experience.
• Understanding of electrical installations.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft 365.
• Experience with item-by-item estimating in computer-based tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle billing and collections.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• 30 Hour OSHA Certification within the first year.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• No Employment-based visa sponsorship available.

Mansioni

• Follow all company, client, and project policies and procedures.
• Prepare and review project plans, estimates, and work plans with budgets and resources.

As a Project Manager, you’ll report directly to the Director and VP in a client-facing role that requires building strong relationships both in and outside the office. You’ll develop through hands-on experience, peer collaboration, and ongoing technical training.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure all company, client, and project policies/procedures are followed as specified.
• Generate estimates, prepare and review project proposal or plan to determine and establish a time frame, work plan, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various project phases
• Oversee the project through administrative direction of on-site supervision to ensure the project is built following design, budget, and schedule
• Actively interfacing with the customer to validate expectations are understood and met before, during, and after project completion
• Plan, coordinate, and/or manage activities of all company personnel and subcontractors on assigned project(s)
• Generate billings and lead the collections process for projects
• Frequent project visits with field supervision and other personnel to understand progress, needs, or issues. Assist in the planning of future labor/material needs of the project
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to the job site by working directly with vendors
• Build long-term relationships with both clients and fellow employees by consistently exceeding expectations
• Offering innovative solutions developing methods of procedures in sequence of operations
• Capable of locating end user's driver solutions
• Provide consistent feedback and reports to the business unit vice president/or Director
• Manage project review process with particular emphasis on financial forecasting
• Provide advice, guidance, mentoring, and direction to team and other junior personnel toward the achievement of their personal development goals
• Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing skills and competencies to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity
• Proactively lead the team job site safety and adherence to company policies and national safety standards for personnel under his or her supervision.
• Actively participate in industry even and community engagement activities
• Preparing Change Management Forms and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Electrical contracting project management experience
• Understanding of electrical installations
• Good knowledge of how to read electrical and mechanical drawings
• Strong computer skills - Specifically in Microsoft 365
• Familiar with computer-based estimating for an item by item estimating
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must understand billing and collections
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
• 30 Hour OSHA Certification required within the first year
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
• Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.

PREFERRED

• A College degree, journeyman’s license, or master electrician’s license
• Five years or more of Mission critical/Data center project management or Field experience
• Experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, COINS (ERP System)
