Miller Electric is seeking a VDC Project Coordinator to manage BIM/VDC processes across assigned projects, focusing on prefabrication, schedules, and budget control. You will coordinate with field leadership, planners, and VDC managers to ensure timely, accurate deliverables and effective collaboration across teams.

Ideal candidates have BIM/VDC coordination experience in electrical construction, strong Revit/Navisworks skills, and proficiency with Microsoft 365.

Formación

• Experience in electrical construction projects.
• Navisworks and Revit experience in electrical construction required.
• Associate's degree preferred in drafting or construction management.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365; COINS experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with field leadership and PM teams to optimize design.
• Maintain and update dashboards and schedules with start/end dates.
• Ensure deliverables meet dates and budgets as planned.
• Oversee VDC output deliverables such as constructability reviews.
• Coordinate manpower with planners and department managers.
• Represent VDC with PMs and General Contractors in meetings.
• Document minutes and foster VDC-Prefab collaboration.
• Collect data post-model completion for leadership review.

Job Summary

Miller Electric-The VDC Project Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the use of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) tools and processes within assigned projects. The main responsibilities include overseeing the prefabrication process and ensuring deliverables are accurate, on time, and within budget. The role requires clear communication, diligent task tracking, meticulous organization, and efficient collaboration. Additionally, this position entails the ability to run one small to midsize project at a time independently, ensuring all aspects are effectively managed and executed. #Miller #LI-JJ1

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with field leadership and project management teams to keep all parties informed and optimize design.
• Maintain and update project dashboards and schedules, providing accurate start and end dates for tasks.
• Hold teams accountable, in coordination with the respective facet manager, to meet deliverable dates as established in the dashboard.
• Verify that all prefabrication work, both VDC and non-VDC related, remains on schedule.
• Work with the Planner Manager and VDC Production Manager to delegate manpower for assigned projects.
• Determine project breakdowns, cost coding, and deliverable scheduling.
• Ensure quality control and execution of projects, overseeing VDC output deliverables such as model constructability and installation drawings.
• Represent the VDC department with Project Managers and General Contractors, fostering strong relationships and attending coordination meetings.
• Facilitate and schedule project success, managing facets and delegating field requests as necessary.
• Host internal meetings with VDC and Field teams, documenting minutes and nurturing the relationship between VDC and Prefab teams.
• Collect data upon model completion for submission to the Director of VDC Business Operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in BIM/VDC project coordination required
• Experience in construction trade, with a focus on electrical construction required
• Navisworks and Revit experience in electrical construction required
• Associate's degree in Computer Drafting or Construction Management (preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft 365
• COINS experience preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent required
