Utilitra is hiring an Engineering Technician for its Cedar Grove, Wisconsin office. This full-time position includes responsibilities in gas and electric utility construction including designing and constructing electrical systems, performing AutoCAD drawing activities, and conducting field audits.

Qualifications

• Minimum two-year degree in applicable engineering/technical field or relevant experience.
• Knowledge of electric utility equipment and understanding of the electric distribution process.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and construction of overhead and underground high voltage systems.
• Conduct field audits for construction of gas and/or electrical power systems.
• Provide engineering information to customers and respond to inquiries.

Skills

Knowledge of computer drafting

Basic understanding of utility electric standards

Proficiency in MS Office applications

Excellent verbal and written communication

Willingness to participate in a team environment

Education
