Job summary

Five Star Infrastructure Services, dBA InterCon/Five Star Energy Services/M&C Utility is seeking a Utility Designer II to direct, coordinate, and complete utility design projects across telephone, electric, and gas systems in Wisconsin.

You will collect field data, assemble drawings with AutoCAD, review designs for compliance, and collaborate with customers and construction crews to bring projects to completion, while managing multiple tasks and priorities.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in utility design is preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT road plans and profiles is required.
• Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must read and interpret engineering sketches and drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and complete utility design projects.
• Complete detailed utility designs for telecom, electric, and gas.
• Collect field data and assemble drawings.
• Analyze sketches and specifications to produce final designs.
• Coordinate with construction crews and customers.
• Ensure designs comply with engineering principles and standards.
• Manage project budgets and hours.
