Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Construction Project Manager in Winchester, KY to oversee capital projects from execution through construction and commissioning. You will ensure quality, safety, and schedule compliance across multiple sites while coordinating with engineering, contracting, and operations teams.

You will manage change orders, RFIs, and documentation, while leading meetings, monitoring budgets, and maintaining site records.

Qualifications

5+ years of stand-alone project management experience in electrical utility construction projects (substation, transmission, distribution, power generation, BESS).
Bachelor's degree in construction management or equivalent education/experience.
Knowledge of OSHA, ACI, ASTM, NEC, NESC and related standards.
Proficient in MS Office and construction software.
Experience managing RFIs, change orders and contractor performance.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with project team to understand scope, equipment requirements and schedules.
Monitor progress using baseline schedules and evaluate labor, equipment, and efficiencies.
Coordinate onsite work and third-party testing/verification as required.
Track material inventory and coordinate deliveries to site.
Lead safety orientations and site walks to ensure compliance.
Review schedule updates and ensure permits and environmental requirements are met.
Lead weekly construction meetings and coordinate with contractors and internal teams.
Oversee changes and billing requests and advise Project Manager.
Coordinate RFIs with Project Manager and Engineering; maintain as-built markups.
Inspect installations, ensure adherence to specs, and manage safety and quality risks.
