Job summary

We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, seeks a Designer for multiple Wisconsin locations including Waukesha, Delafield, Racine, West Allis, West Bend, Milwaukee and more. You will analyze designs, solve issues, and coordinate with contractors to support new service orders, rewires, and maintenance.

The role involves working with various software in Windows environments and adherence to safety standards. An apprenticeship pathway through Wisconsin is available.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in electrical, mechanical, civil, architectural, electronic, utilities engineering, or similar technology.
• Alternatively, four years of equivalent utility or engineering design experience.
• Valid driver's license and meet company driving requirements.
• For some locations, comply with DOT Part 199 pipeline drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis and problem-solving for new service orders, rewires, system maintenance, and facility relocations.
• Coordinate with outside contractors, consultants, other utilities, and governmental agencies.
• Ensure the system meets company, governmental, and customer safety standards.
• Work with various software applications in a Windows environment.
