Job summary

Power Design, Inc. is offering an Electrical Trainee position in California. Trainees work alongside a licensed journeyman to learn the trade through hands-on experience, with a clear path to becoming an electrician and potentially leading teams and larger projects.

Trainees will participate in on-the-job training on multifamily and commercial construction sites, learning distribution, rough-in, trim and deck work, while attending required classes and training sessions.

Qualifications

• Motivated individuals who want to learn the electrical trade and have a high school diploma or GED as well as reliable transportation.
• Register, enroll and participate in an electrical trainee program until completion.
• Must obtain an electrical trainee card and physically perform essential functions.
• Willing to learn electrical codes and other construction safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• The electrical trainee is partnered with a licensed journeyman electrician and has on-the-job training to become an electrician.
• Help perform electrical installations on new multifamily and commercial construction projects.
• Learn and perform all scopes of large-scale projects, from distribution to rough in, trim and deck work.
• Participate in official training program and attend classes as required.
