Job summary

Dormont Manufacturing Co is seeking an ambitious Electrical Trainee to join our team in Austin, Texas. In this hands-on role, you'll receive mentorship from seasoned Electrical Foremen while being deeply involved in the installation of electrical systems on exciting new projects.

Your responsibilities will include assembling, installing, and maintaining electrical wiring and equipment, diagnosing malfunctions, and ensuring compliance with safety codes. The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00 an hour, and we're looking for individuals committed to our core values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an Electrician.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code.

Position Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools

• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatuses, and components using testing equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of the breakdown and correct the problem

• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components

• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, as well as ensure compliance with codes

• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous

• Maintain current Electrician’s License or identification card to meet governmental regulations

• Support Superintendents and Electrical Foremen to ensure jobsite safety and security

Here’s What We’re Looking For

• OSHA 30 certification preferred

• 2+ years of experience as an Electrician

• Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and construction safety requirements

• Pay range is $22.00 - $28.00 an hour
