Job summary

Amteck is seeking an Electrical Instructor to deliver technical and professional training across our organization, including classroom and field-based sessions.

You will mentor apprentices, develop curriculum aligned with NEC changes, and partner with field leaders to identify learning needs. This role requires frequent travel to project sites and offices and a passion for teaching and safety culture.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in the electrical construction industry.
  • Strong NEC knowledge and field experience.
  • Willingness to travel between job sites and offices.
  • Experience delivering training or instructional content.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging classroom and field-based training.
  • Teach NEC, electrical theory, and hands-on skills labs.
  • Support apprentices through instruction, mentoring, feedback, and performance documentation.
  • Facilitate study groups, review sessions, and test preparation workshops.
  • Assist with the development and improvement of training materials and curriculum.
  • Travel to project sites and regional offices to provide training and support employee development.
  • Collaborate with field leaders to identify training opportunities and recommend solutions.
  • Track attendance, engagement, and learning outcomes.
  • Support onboarding, technical upskilling, and professional development initiatives.
  • Stay current on industry best practices, code changes, and emerging technologies.
  • Promote Amteck’s culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning.

Job description

Our Electrical Instructor support Amteck’s commitment to employee development by delivering technical and professional training across the organization. This role provides classroom instruction, field-based training, and curriculum support while helping employees and apprentices develop the skills needed for long-term success.

The Electrical Instructor serves as a resource for apprentices, collaborates with field leadership to identify training needs, and helps ensure training programs align with Amteck’s operational goals and core values.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging classroom and field-based training.
  • Teach National Electrical Code (NEC), electrical theory, and hands‑on skills labs.
  • Support apprentices through instruction, mentoring, feedback, and performance documentation.
  • Facilitate study groups, review sessions, and test preparation workshops.
  • Assist with the development and improvement of training materials and curriculum.
  • Travel to project sites and regional offices to provide training and support employee development.
  • Collaborate with field leaders to identify training opportunities and recommend solutions.
