Job summary

BLOX is seeking a hands‑on Electrical Trade Foreman to lead electrical crews for modular building solutions. You will direct daily electrical work on both manufacturing and field sites, ensuring quality, code compliance, and crew safety to meet targets.

You will plan, mentor, and coordinate with trades while driving look‑ahead planning and inspections. Strong NEC knowledge and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; electrical apprenticeship preferred.
  • Texas or multi-state Journeyman Electrician license preferred, or equivalent verifiable experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience, including 2+ years leading crews.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • OSHA 10/30 certification preferred or ability to obtain.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, and work on ladders and lifts for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50–75 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and active construction and manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily electrical work and supervise crews on assigned projects.
  • Plan (Pre-Construction) and review budgets, schedules, materials, and production plans with the Trade Superintendent.
  • Own tracking of crew skillsets and development status; communicate needs or gaps.
  • Perform on-site trade work in accordance with drawings, specifications, codes, and safety standards.
  • Lead 2-week look-ahead planning for crew sizing and material needs.
  • Input time sheets into Procore for all crew members.
  • Enforce safety policies, lead toolbox talks, and inspections.
  • Mentor and evaluate electricians and helpers on the crew.
  • Coordinate with other trades and QA teams to resolve issues.
  • Support commissioning, inspections, and punch-list completion.

BLOX is seeking a hands‑on Electrical Trade Foreman to lead electrical crews in the fabrication and installation of electrical systems for our modular building solutions. This role is responsible for directing daily electrical work, ensuring quality and code compliance, and keeping crews safe and productive in both manufacturing and field environments.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for daily trade work activity and performance on the assigned project
  • Planning (Pre‑Construction)
  • Review budget, schedule, material, and production plans with the Trade Superintendent prior to starting the assigned project; responsible for complete understanding of work planning and driving execution on site to meet or exceed plan targets
  • Own tracking of crew member skillsets and development status, and communicate site crew team needs or gaps to achieve plan prior to the start of on‑site work
  • Execution (During On‑Site Construction)
  • Own performance of on‑site trade employees and achievement of schedule milestones and productivity/cost targets for the project
  • Perform 2‑week look‑ahead planning for crew sizing, material needs, and constraint identification; communicate needs and constraints to Project Field Leadership and the Trade Superintendent with enough lead time to resolve issues before they impact workflow and progress targets
  • Receive material for trade work, and inventory and store material in accordance with direction from the Site Materials Manager
  • Adhere to the materials storage and site logistics plan, keeping material inventories current and complete, and keeping material storage organized and right‑sized for production and zone plans
  • Input time sheets into Procore for all employees reporting to them
  • Perform day‑to‑day on‑site project trade work, ensuring work is done in accordance with all applicable drawings and specifications, and in compliance with all required codes and industry standards
  • Accountable for Leadmen, Journeymen, and other crew members
  • Install, terminate, and test electrical systems per plans, specifications, and applicable codes
  • Enforce company safety policies and lead toolbox talks and safety inspections
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate electricians and helpers on the crew
  • Coordinate with other trades, supervisors, and quality teams to resolve issues
  • Support commissioning, inspections, and punch‑list completion
