Exyte is seeking a Tool Install Electrical Engineer to lead a small electrical team and develop installation designs for advanced semiconductor facilities. You will coordinate cross-disciplinary design efforts and contribute to on‑site execution while ensuring high quality, cost‑effective outcomes.

The role requires a bachelor’s in electrical engineering and 4+ years of relevant experience, with FE exam and NCEES record preferred as you collaborate with clients and engineers across disciplines.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • FE exam passed and NCEES record preferred.
  • Experience in semiconductor or industrial projects.
  • Experience in consulting engineering or construction environments.

Responsibilities

  • Leads small team of electrical engineers and designers in developing semiconductor installation designs starting from vendor cutsheets.
  • Coordinates daily design meetings and delegates tasks.
  • Performs electrical design tasks for semiconductor tools, cleanrooms, and labs.
  • Prepares electrical calculations including sizing and controls design.
  • Reviews designs and mentors team members.
  • Collaborates with other disciplines to integrate inputs and deliverables.
  • Provides technical support to project managers and handles submittals.

As a Tool Install Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in bringing complex manufacturing environments to life by supporting the development of tool installation design packages for some of the industry's most innovative clients.

Working alongside experienced Design Leads, engineers, and designers, you will help coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts across mechanical, process, electrical, and controls systems. Explore Your Tasks And Responsibilities
  • Leads small team of electrical engineers and designers in developing the design of semiconductor installation packages starting from provided vendor cutsheets.
  • Coordinate daily design meetings and delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Performs engineering tasks for the design of electrical systems for semiconductor tools, cleanrooms, and labs in high technology facilities.
  • Prepares electrical engineering calculations in support of electrical designs for semiconductor tools including electrical equipment sizing and selection, feeder sizing, controls design, and TGMS monitoring.
  • Reviews teams’ designs performing quality control and mentorship
  • Coordinates with disciplines in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring other disciplines’ inputs are incorporated.
  • Supports project on-site execution, make decisions to support projects, and acts as technical consultant
  • Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff’s specific area of expertise
  • Assists in developing design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by discipline team
  • Provides technical support to the Construction and/or Project Managers to include receiving, logging, reviewing, tracking, expediting, and distribution of submittals, RFI’s, and other technical documentation.
  • Receives and technically reviews submittals returned from Architect or Engineer and notifies the Construction and/or Project Manager of potential cost and/or schedule impacts based on review comments. Supports Construction and/or Project Manager in resolving open issues related to submittals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Show Your Expertise
Minimum Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required
  • 4+ years experience
Preferred
  • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
  • National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying Record
  • Previous experience or internship exposure within advanced technology, semiconductor, manufacturing, or industrial projects.
  • Experience working within consulting engineering, construction, or design environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively within a collaborative team setting.
  • Experience in continuous improvement initiatives or Lean methodologies.

  • Understanding of engineering and design processes within multidisciplinary project environments.
  • Knowledge of codes and common industry standards related to the design of industrial and manufacturing facilities and systems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in the quality review process
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Power BI is a plus.
