Job summary

Exyte in New York state seeks an Electrical Install/Tool Engineer to lead a small team and develop electrical design packages for semiconductor installations.

Qualifications

Working alongside experienced Design Leads, engineers, and designers, you will help coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts across mechanical, process, electrical, andcontrolssystems. Explore your tasks and responsibilities
  • Leadssmallteam of electrical engineers and designers in developing the design of semiconductor installation packages startingfrom providedvendor cutsheets.
  • Coordinate daily design meetings and delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Performs engineering tasks for the design of electrical systems forsemiconductor tools,cleanrooms,and labs in high technology facilities.
  • Prepares electrical engineering calculations in support of electrical designsfor semiconductor toolsincluding electrical equipment sizingandselection, feeder sizing,controls design, and TGMS monitoring.
  • Reviews teams’ designs performing quality control and mentorship
  • Coordinates with disciplines in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring other disciplines’ inputs are incorporated.
  • Supports project on-site execution,make decisions to support projects,and actsas technical consultant
  • Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff’s specific area of expertise
  • Assistsin developing design procedures to facilitatehigh quality cost effectivework by discipline team
  • Provides technical support to the Construction and/or Project Managers to include receiving, logging, reviewing,tracking,expediting,anddistributionofsubmittals,RFI’s,andothertechnicaldocumentation.
  • Receives and technically reviews submittals returned from Architect or Engineer andnotifiesthe Construction and/or Project Manager of potential cost and/or schedule impacts based on review comments. Supports Construction and/or Project Manager in resolving open issues related tosubmittals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MinimumRequired

  • Bachelor’sdegreeinElectricalEngineeringrequired
  • 4+yearsexperience

Preferred

  • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
  • National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying Record
  • Previousexperience or internship exposure within advanced technology,semiconductor, manufacturing, or industrial projects.
  • Experience working within consulting engineering, construction, or design environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively within a collaborative team setting.
  • Experienceincontinuous improvement initiatives or Lean methodologies.

Skills&Knowledge

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Understandingofengineering and design processes within multidisciplinary project environments.
  • Knowledge of codes and common industry standards related to the design of industrial and manufacturing facilities and systems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in the quality review process
  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Power BI is a plus.
