Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Electrical Tester- Weekend Shift (Avery Creek) at our Avery Creek location on Vista Blvd!

Shift Hours: 7am - 7:30pm Friday - Sunday.

Hourly Rate: $26.50 per hour.

What you’ll do:

The primary role of the Electrical Tester is to set up, operate and maintain a variety of test equipment to perform electrical, electronic and mechanical tests on a variety of control equipment. Component testing including but not limited to partial discharge testing of power electronic devices, firmware flashing, and application loading of printed circuit boards and controllers. Helping in the design and maintenance of test equipment.

In this function you will:

1. Analyze data to determine compliance with test standards and record data and write reports; process paperwork timely, accurately, and with accountability and follow procedures with accuracy, efficiently and with strict attention to details.
2. Troubleshoot various problems that could occur during course of test; requires Tester to think critically to solve complex problems.
3. Use multimeters, voltmeters, hipot test equipment, digital oscilloscope, PC based monitoring, stand-alone RTD temperature monitoring system, and Variac’s.
4. Component testing including but not limited to partial discharge testing of power electronic devices, firmware flashing, and application loading of printed circuit boards and controllers.
5. Develop rapport and establish relationships with customers, engineers, and manufacturing team.
6. Responsible for assisting with product qualifying testing for 3rd party standards committees and continuously improve work environment processes; Kaizens, Lean, etc.
7. Troubleshoot and repair warranty and non-warranty customer returned material.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

1. Associates Degree from an accredited institution in an Electrical or Electronic Engineering field or equivalent (2 year) military experience (in electrical).
2. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
3. No relocation offered. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Avery Creek, NC in order to be considered. Active - Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:

1. Previous work experience troubleshooting electrical and/or mechanical problems.
2. (2) years of Electrical Testing experience.
