Job summary

Keysight seeks an Electrical Engineering student intern to support design validation, automated testing, and hands-on lab work. You will collaborate with experienced test engineers to develop test methods, write code, integrate instruments, collect data, and document results for high-power electrical test equipment up to 2 kV and 1 MW.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Coursework or project experience in analog and digital electronics and measurement techniques.
• Programming experience through coursework, labs, projects, or internships.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or C/C++.
• Interest in design validation, automated testing, instrumentation, and hands-on problem solving.
• Ability to analyze data and document technical results clearly.
• Commitment to laboratory safety and following procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on electrical testing and document configurations and findings.
• Support environmental design-validation testing (temp, humidity, vibration, shock).
• Write and maintain test programs and data-logging routines.
• Assist in design, assembly, and validation of automated test sets.
• Operate lab instruments via common interfaces and software (Python, C#, MATLAB, VBA).
• Troubleshoot test software, instruments, fixtures, and DUTs.
• Follow lab procedures and safety practices under qualified engineers.
