Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Engineering Technician C (Electrical) to provide test engineering support in an automated electronic factory in Rochester, NY. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintaining test systems, and creating station documentation to ensure continuous production quality.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) with relevant experience, familiarity with schematics, LabVIEW, and MS Word/Excel, and a willingness to work a 12-hour weekend shift

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 2 years prior experience.
• Experience reading schematics and troubleshooting to component level.
• MS Word and Excel proficiency.
• 2 years of LabView experience.
• Experience with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Performs troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of complex digital and RF fixtures, including dismantling, adjusting, repairing, calibrating, aligning, assembling, and operating according to engineering drawings, schematics, and documentation.
• First line of defense in resolving daily test issues impacting troubleshoot, environmental, or up flow test for manufacturing and operations.
• Monitors station utilization and downtime and reports out to the TE Lead.
• Assists manufacturing technicians by answering questions and providing training on test systems and troubleshooting tools.
• Create/Update station documentation items such as MTP’s, Station BOM’s, AMR’s, and TSW’s.
• Works in conjunction with PM coordinator and Calibration Monitor to maintain proper spare parts inventory for the FF test stations.
