Electronics Technician Job Description

Position: Electronics Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Electronics Technician to join our expanding Test Engineering team.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support new electronic product development, including prototype circuit construction, PCB modifications, and wiring harness assembly.
  2. Develop product test equipment, including end-of-line and prototype testing setups for electronic and electromechanical products.
  3. Set up accelerated life and durability testing procedures.
  4. Conduct EMI/EMC testing in accordance with industry standards for new product validation.
  5. Perform environmental testing on electronic and mechanical components of new and existing products.
  6. Arrange external testing such as EMI, thermal, and endurance assessments for new products.
  7. Utilize various instruments (thermocouples, pressure sensors, accelerometers, etc.) to evaluate test parts.
  8. Document test procedures and results professionally and accurately.
  9. Support IT and maintenance tasks related to special projects.
  10. Provide field service support at customer sites.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Associate’s degree or higher education in a technical field preferred.
  3. At least 3 years of hands-on mechanical or electronic technician experience preferred.
  4. Experience in experimental or prototype testing environments preferred.
  5. Knowledge of thermocouples, pressure sensors, and other sensing equipment.
  6. Broad understanding of electronic circuits.
  7. Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams.
  8. Familiarity with regulatory standards and bodies.
  9. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  10. Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
