Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking an experienced Electrical Test Technician to join our quality team. This role will install, maintain, and troubleshoot transformer test equipment, and perform electrical, insulation, and accuracy testing while documenting results.

You will lead improvements to testing procedures, apply lean manufacturing principles, and support engineering with root-cause analysis and data capture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum five years in a similar transformer testing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong problem analysis and resolution skills.
• Safety-focused and able to work under tight schedules.

Responsibilities

• Electrical testing of transformers.
• Insulation testing of transformers.
• Accuracy testing of transformers.
• Improve testing procedures.
• Create and amend working procedures for testing processes.
• Institute lean manufacturing principles.
• Resolve testing issues and interpret results.
• Capture test data into formal reports.
• Oversee quality of products in the test department.
• Perform regular PM maintenance.
• Root-cause analysis with engineering.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals for maintenance.
