Job summary

Ritz Instrument Transformers USA is seeking a qualified test department technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot test equipment under the Director of Quality. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required.
• At least five years in a similar instrument transformer environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; manual dexterity essential.
• Strong problem solving and teamwork with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Electrical, insulation, and accuracy testing of transformers.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot test department equipment.
• Improve testing procedures and create/ amend working procedures.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles across testing activities.
• Capture test data into formal reports and oversee quality in testing.
• Perform regular PM maintenance and root cause analysis with Engineering.
• Read and interpret manuals for maintenance and service to equipment.
• Detect faults and report issues to Quality and Engineering.
• Ensure compliance with IEEE, IEC, ISO, and CSA standards.
• Design and commission new test equipment as needed.
