Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer (STARSHIELD) to design and develop test systems for satellite hardware, including in‑house electronics, optics, RF, and electro‑mechanical components. The role emphasizes building from ground up test solutions and ensuring reliability of spacecraft hardware.

You will create Python automation, work with design and manufacturing teams, and drive data‑driven decisions to improve product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline with emphasis in electronics.
• 1+ years of electronic hardware or software development experience.
• 1+ years programming experience in Python, MATLAB, or Embedded C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain test solutions for satellite flight hardware (electronics, optics, RF, and electro‑mechanical systems).
• Write Python automation to drive test units, equipment, and documentation systems.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams to improve reliability and yield and diagnose issues.
