Job summary

HRL Laboratories, LLC seeks a systems-focused electronics engineer to drive system-level validation, define test plans, and ensure release readiness for precision navigation and IMU hardware.

You will collaborate across teams to flow requirements, document transitions to production, and analyze results using MATLAB, Python, and LabVIEW, while performing hands-on testing of RF/analog/digital circuits. A 3+ year background and security eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on electronics experience.
• Experience managing production/test documentation and requirements validation.
• Strong fundamentals in analog, digital, and mixed-signal design.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW, or similar for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Define test plans, pass/fail criteria, and ensure release readiness with robust test coverage.
• Ensure requirements flow down, system integration readiness, and needed documentation.
• Maintain configuration control and support engineering changes for IMU prototypes.
• Test, characterize, and assemble advanced electronic hardware.
• Analyze and present test results to technical staff and management.
• Operate test equipment to verify and troubleshoot instrumentation systems.
