Job summary

Auriga Space is developing electromagnetic launch systems and seeks an Electrical Test Engineer to test high‑power electronics and control systems. This hands‑on role involves setting up test fixtures, instrumenting systems, collecting data, and supporting troubleshooting.

You will work closely with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to validate prototypes, improve test setups, and ensure repeatable test processes in a fast‑paced startup environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory test equipment and electrical measurements.
  • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing of power electronics assemblies, control circuits, and high‑voltage systems according to approved test procedures and work instructions.
  • Set up and operate test fixtures, cables, instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and other laboratory equipment required for testing.
  • Use oscilloscopes, high‑voltage probes, power meters, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and related equipment to collect and evaluate test data.
  • Conduct functional, performance, and reliability testing of components, assemblies, and integrated systems under defined operating conditions.
  • Monitor test results, recognize abnormal behavior or failures, and work with engineers to troubleshoot, repeat tests, and identify root causes.
  • Support the development and improvement of test fixtures, setups, and data‑collection tools, and recommend practical changes that make testing safer, faster, and more repeatable.
  • Record test data accurately and maintain test logs, checklists, inspection records, test reports, non‑conformance reports, and corrective actions.
  • Follow electrical safety procedures and established practices when working with high‑voltage and high‑power equipment.
