Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking Test Assistants to join our Electrical Power Services team in Nashville, TN. The Test Assistant supports inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation of electrical power distribution equipment in commercial, industrial, and utility environments.

This is an entry-level to developing technician role under supervision by senior staff. Certification is not required; however, candidates should demonstrate safety awareness and basic knowledge

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
0–2 years of related electrical/field service experience.
Basic understanding of electrical theory and power distribution equipment.
Ability to read basic electrical drawings and schematics.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Assist with inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning support for low- and medium-voltage systems.
Set up and operate electrical test equipment under supervision.
Collect data and document field observations for customer reports.
Follow safety policies, lockout/tagout, and energized-work controls.
Travel and overtime may be required as needed.
