Job summary

AVT Simulation is seeking an Electrical Technician to join our Oviedo, Florida team. This role supports development, assembly, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems for our simulation products. A college degree is not required; hands-on electrical experience is valued, and US citizenship is required to pursue security clearance.

Travel up to 20% is expected. We will fill two roles for this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1. Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role
• 2. Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and circuits
• 3. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams
• 4. Hands‑on experience with electrical testing equipment and tools
• 5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
• 6. Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• 7. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assembly and installation of electrical systems and components according to engineering specifications and technical drawings
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop innovative solutions and improvements for existing electrical designs
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Document procedures, test results, and technical specifications accurately for reference and future troubleshooting
• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment at all times
• Provide technical support and assistance to other team members as needed
