AVT Simulation is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team in Oviedo, Florida. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the development, assembly, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and components for our simulation products. This position does not require a college degree; instead, we value hands‑on experience and practical skills in electrical engineering and technology.

Must be US citizen to acquire security clearance. Travel 20%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• 2+ years as Electrical Technician in manufacturing or engineering.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, components and circuits.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
• Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment and tools.

• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

AVT Simulation is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team in Oviedo, Florida. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the development, assembly, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and components for our simulation products. This position does not require a college degree; instead, we value hands‑on experience and practical skills in electrical engineering and technology.

Must be US citizen to acquire security clearance. This is not a remote position. Travel Requirement: 20%. Please note: We will fill 2 roles for this position.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

• Assist in the assembly and installation of electrical systems and components according to engineering specifications and technical drawings.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop innovative solutions and improvements for existing electrical designs.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Document procedures, test results, and technical specifications accurately for reference and future troubleshooting.
• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
• Provide technical support and assistance to other team members as needed.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• 2. Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• 3. Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and circuits.
• 4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
• 5. Hands‑on experience with electrical testing equipment and tools.
• 6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• 7. Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• 8. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Preferred Qualifications :

• 1. Vocational training or certification in electrical technology or a related field.
• 2. Prior experience with simulation technology or military systems is a plus.
• 3. Familiarity with software tools for electrical design and simulation (e.g., AutoCAD, LabVIEW).
