Job summary

Carpenter Technology in McBee, SC is seeking an Electrician to keep our facility and equipment running safely, efficiently and reliably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will develop and implement preventive maintenance, read system drawings, troubleshoot electro‑mechanical and furnace systems, and support PLC, HMI and motor drive equipment to minimize downtime while ensuring safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics, electrical engineering tech or related field.
• Mechatronics degree preferred.
• Ability to work in fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to prevent equipment failures.
• Read and understand system drawings and electrical schematics.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and minimize downtime for manufacturing and support systems.
• Operate and support PLC, HMI systems and motor drives.
• Ensure safety procedures and PPE compliance.
