Job summary

Continental Tire the Americas, LLC in Mount Vernon, Illinois, is seeking a Maintenance Electrical Technician. You will troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical control systems, motors, drives, and servo systems, using multimeters, schematics, and PLC/Drive tools.

• Associate's Degree in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of industrial electrical experience or Rockwell program completion.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship)
• Relocation not provided.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical control systems (PLC, IPC, hardwire, field devices).
• Repair AC/DC motors, drives, and servo systems in the plant.
• Diagnose problems using multimeter, schematics, PLC/Drive logic tools, and related software.
• Replace defective components and recommission to verify correct operation.
• Use an iPad to track time and repair details in SAP/PUMA.
• Communicate with maintenance, engineering and production staff professionally.
• Follow LOTO procedures and wear PPE to ensure safety.
• Perform small mechanical repairs as needed.
• Troubleshoot/repair computer/IPC hardware and backup software as required.
• Maintain power/lighting transformers and related equipment.
• Assist Area Engineer in keeping maintenance pages up to date.
• Comply with plant, corporate, Continental safety standards and policies.
• Assist maintenance supervisor and be available for overtime as needed.
• Keep a clean, organized workspace.
